Dr. Boyle is a Cleveland native who received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton in 1987 and a medical degree from The Ohio State University in 1993. After completing a medical internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, he graduated from the Ohio State ophthalmology residency program in 1997.
Dr. Boyle served on the Admissions Committee of the Transitional and Preliminary Internal Medicine programs at Riverside Hospital from 1997-2005. Dr. Boyle is board certified and serves as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University. With a commitment to education, he is involved in the training of ophthalmology and internal medicine residents as well as medical and optometry students.
Dr Boyle and his wife, Mary Pat, have four children. They have been in Columbus together for over 25 years. The family enjoys golfing, Cleveland and Columbus sports teams, being together on holidays, and sandy beaches.
Dr. Brown received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and a Master’s Degree in Physiology from The Ohio State University. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed a one-year internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital, and returned to The Ohio State University for his three-year residency in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Brown is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is an attending physician at Riverside Methodist Hospitals where he has served as Chairman of the Section of Ophthalmology. He has served as Chairman of Ophthalmology at Grant Medical Center and as President of the Columbus Ophthalmological and Otolaryngological Society.
Dr. Lembach received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from John Carroll University. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Lembach completed his one year internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital and served a three-year residency in Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
He is a senior attending physician at Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he has served as Chairman of the Section of Ophthalmology. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Dr. Oehler completed his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a member of Delta Psi fraternity. After a period as a design engineer, Dr. Oehler returned to school and received his medical degree summa cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his internship at Riverside Methodist Hospitals and returned to OSU for his three-year residency in Ophthalmology. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Oehler is an attending physician at Riverside Methodist Hospitals and has served as the Chairman of the Section of Ophthalmology. Currently, resides on the Riverside board of outpatient’ surgery center. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Ohio State University and serves on staff at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s as well as the committee for the medical group of Ohio.
Dr. Oehler joined Northwest Eye Surgeons in 1992. His specialties include the front of the eye with a focus on cataract refractive sugery, LASIK, and PRK, premium IOL use.
During his time away from the office he enjoys running, skiing, and golfing. He has three sons, two of which are twins.
Dr. Rogers received his Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude from The University of Notre Dame, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He received his medical degree summa cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Rogers served his internship at Riverside Methodist Hospitals and earned the Transitional Year Resident of the Year Award. He completed a three-year residency in Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University, serving as Chief Resident his final year. Dr. Rogers is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of both the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery and the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
He is an attending physician at Riverside Methodist Hospitals and is a member of Mount Carmel Health System, serving on staff at St. Ann’s. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Rogers joined the Northwest Eye Surgeons family in 2006. During his time here he has developed his specialties of cataracts, medical treatment glaucoma, corneal disease and dry eyes.
Dr. Rogers enjoys staying active by running, swimming, cycling, skiing and keeping up with his two little girls and wife.
Dr. Whitaker received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the College of Wooster where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed a one-year internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital, and returned to The Ohio State University for his three-year residency in Ophthalmology. He served as Chief Resident during his residency tenure. Dr. Whitaker is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Whitaker is an attending physician at Riverside Methodist Hospitals, a member of Mount Carmel Health Systems, and on staff at St. Ann’s. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University where he teaches ophthalmic surgery to the ophthalmology residents.
Dr. Greenlee is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who treats and performs surgery for many ophthalmic conditions including cataract and refractive issues, dry eyes, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease. Dr. Greenlee provides a special focus on refractive cataract surgery and utilizes the most current technology to provide each individual patient the best possible outcome that suits their lifestyle goals.
Dr. Greenlee is a native Buckeye. He grew up in the Cleveland area and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Ohio State University. He continued his education, attending medical school at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in partnership with Cleveland Clinic, where he completed his academic and clinical coursework at one of the nation’s top hospital systems. After completing a medical internship year at University Hospitals Community Consortium in Cleveland, Ohio he completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Larkin Community Hospital in affiliation with Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida, where he also served as chief resident. In addition to his residency, Dr. Greenlee spent a year as a fellow dedicated to conducting ophthalmologic research and is an author on over 25 peer-reviewed publications.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Greenlee is an avid snowboarder, though he will trade in the board for skis on rare occasions. He is an ardent fan of The Lord of the Rings as well as the other works of J.R.R. Tolkien and tends to become quite passionate about Buckeyes Football. Above all, he enjoys spending time with his wife Hilary and his son Cedric.
Dr. Lembach earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from John Carroll University. He was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre Med Fraternity. He also ran cross country and track for the University.
Dr. Lembach is a graduate of The State University of New York College of Optometry. He joined Northwest Eye Surgeons in 2004 and has a special interest in contact lenses.
Dr. Michael R. Byars has been a practicing Optometrist for the past 35 years in London, Ohio. He is a graduate from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1979 and began practicing shortly after. Dr. Byars is a member of several organizations such as the Central Ohio Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
Prior to starting his college education, Dr. Byars served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. During his period of service he worked in Rawinsonde doing meteorological-atmospheric studies. Throughout his time as a member of the Air Force, Dr. Byars was able to visit many different areas of the world.
Dr. Byars has been on staff at Northwest Eye Surgeons since 2007 and has been heavily involved with refractive services and contact lenses.
When he is not in the office practicing, Dr. Byars enjoys golfing, reading, and spending time with his wife of 33 years, their 10 children, and two granddaughters.
